Synopsis
Recently noticed my server OS is nearing EOL, and with the current 2C2G setup, memory usage was already sitting at 70%+ just running a few projects. So I took the renewal window as a chance to swap to a 2C4G server (totally not because buying a new one was cheaper than renewing).
Since the two servers run different OSes, I couldn't just use a custom image to migrate everything quickly. But thanks to the unprecedented power of AI these days, I took a snapshot of the server, set up two tunnels for the AI, and let it handle the migration. Thought it'd take a whole afternoon — turns out it was done in under half an hour. AI is seriously amazing, you know that?
Also snagged a national subsidy on Tencent Cloud while I was at it (it was actually a refund 😋)
On another note, I've been juggling way too many gacha games lately. Each one has its own community check-in that doles out pitiful little rewards, and every morning the moment I open my eyes it's like clocking in for work — hopping between all these communities just to collect. So I stitched together a unified check-in script (with push notifications) by borrowing from various community scripts on GitHub. Shared it with friends who also play gacha games and the feedback's been pretty solid.
